A whole universe comes together in one place, offering the most timeless of design. While these two design enthusiasts offer a cutting-edge selection of furniture and objets d’art, it is above all a space for encounters that is on offer here. In what could be described as a laboratory for new ideas, concepts intertwine and come to life. Laura and Boris enjoy collaborating with their network of gallery owners and architects, as well as with their clients. In the course of these alliances, the couple unveil the background to their compositions: bold colours, a taste for risk, but also textures and materials that are as surprising as the stories that surround them. Domum gallery is a story of craftsmanship and know-how. With this showcase, Laura and Boris bear witness to their passion for design, which is also embodied in their own lives. In fact, it was fate – symbolised here by Kay Bojesson’s little monkey – that was already weaving the threads of an inevitable meeting: it was by talking about their love of design that they fell in love.In spring 2024, domum gallery will open its doors on rue des Bains, in the centre of Geneva’s art gallery district. Originally dedicated to mid-modern design, the charismatic couple Laura Baer and Boris Liger have transformed the space into a gallery of modern and contemporary design. Breaking away from the beaten track, these two expert enthusiasts offer an eclectic, international collection of carefully selected furniture and accessories. The 130 m² showcase features collections from renowned artists and designers. Strolling through the rich selection is like travelling. The gallery is home to armchairs from Brazil, Japanese chairs and Italian classics. On the walls, works of art flirt with design objects and an entire room comes to life harmoniously, the time it takes to suggest other designers and start again. As well as emblematic re-editions and contemporary creations, domum gallery is adorned with pieces unearthed from the four corners of the globe, regularly welcoming original treasures within its walls.
