In the spring of 2024, Domum Gallery will open its doors on Rue des Bains, in the heart of Geneva’s art gallery district. Originally dedicated to mid-modern design, the charismatic couple Laura Baer and Boris Liger have transformed this space into a gallery showcasing modern and contemporary design. Thinking outside the box, these two passionate experts offer an eclectic and international collection of furniture and accessory brands, each selected with the utmost care.

The 130-square-meter space showcases collections by renowned artists and designers. Amid this rich selection, visitors wander as if on a journey. One moment, the gallery is filled with armchairs from Brazil; the next, Japanese chairs or Italian classics. On the walls, works of art mingle with design objects, and the entire space comes to life in perfect harmony, just long enough to showcase other creators before starting anew.

Beyond iconic reissues and contemporary creations, Domum Gallery showcases pieces sourced from all corners of the globe, regularly welcoming unique treasures within its walls. In a single space, an entire world comes together, offering the very essence of timeless design.

While these two design enthusiasts offer a carefully curated selection of furniture and art objects, this space is, above all, a place for people to come together. In what could be described as a laboratory for new ideas, concepts intertwine and come to life. Laura and Boris delight in collaborating not only with their network of gallery owners and architects but also with their clients. Through these partnerships, the couple reveals the underlying thread that gives rhythm to their compositions: bold colors, a taste for risk, and textures and materials as surprising as the stories that surround them.

Through this showcase, Laura and Boris express their passion for design, which is also embodied in their own life experiences. Indeed, it was fate—symbolized here by Kay Bojesson’s little monkey—that was already weaving the threads of an inevitable encounter: it was while talking about their love of design that they fell in love.
